Microsoft Flight Simulator DC-10/KC-10 freeware gets new screenshots and developer update. Copenhagen Airport revealed

Today third-party developers shared news about upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, including an airplane and an airport.

We’re getting a brand new development update and several screenshots of the McDonnell Douglas DC-10/KC-10 freeware from Aero Dynamics, including the reveal that the developer will also be releasing the DC-10 Air Tanker version (also known as the ’10 Tanker”).

External model: For overseas, we can finally show some progress with our DC-10 branch. We originally started with just the KC in mind, but now, we’ve started making significant progress with the DC-10-30F. The 30F is the first launch of our DC-10 variants and will be the most significant move forward from our beloved KC-10. With 30F, we plan to launch 9 branded series such as FedEx (New and Old), Aeroflot, United and more! We may plan to expand our 9 color selection in the future.

Model interior: After a full 3D scan of the cockpit, we are proud to show off our cockpit! We meticulously added great detail to high priority areas never seen before on a flight card and of course any DC-10 seen on a public flight card. With this aircraft, you’ll also be able to switch between a variety of instruments to get the DC-10 experience you’re looking for! You can keep it realistic or get more modern gauges than the KC-10 to use in DC for those long flights. Our developer team recommends old school for a better experience. From our EFB, you will be able to configure your jet to your liking.

Screens and systems: The screens have received some updates. The fuel gauges are now built into the aircraft and are operational. Font accuracy improvements will come in future updates. We have started some initial work on EFB. We plan to include standard features such as ground service checks, checklist integration, Navigraph and Simbrief integration. We will also include OSM maps to track aircraft location in real time. Settings for modifying parts of the aircraft such as realism, meter types, etc. will also be included. In terms of systems, the electrical system is now in a state where it is easy to integrate with other systems (lights for example). As a result, work has begun on other critical aircraft systems, such as a more advanced fuel system and APU. with pneumatic and hydraulic to follow. Obviously, as it is processed, existing systems will be improved. This is an exciting stage to be in as new systems should be coming online much faster. Once we are at a stage where there is a basic implementation of all the systems, the refinement for realism begins.

Mystery Aircraft: For the better part of two years, we’ve left you all confused with what we were planning to release in terms of model aircraft. Today, I am proud to clear up some old updated information for you all. Official presentation, the 10 Tanker! This aircraft was something we always wanted from the beginning, but now we have significant progress. This aircraft has the ability to slow fire at the touch of a button! It will also feature its own custom interior, true to the original aircraft flying today! Now that we’ve finally revealed our hidden part of the project, enjoy the new aircraft and enjoy some shots of 10 Tanker!

If you want to follow the progress of the project, you can check out the developer’s Discord server.

A new revelation comes from the Danish experts at SimNord, and it is a major airport, Copenhagen (EKCH).

It will be interesting to see how this developer does with a much larger node compared to his usual work, but for now, here are some screenshots.
