Marvel’s Midnight Suns adds characters Deadpool, Venom and more to post-launch DLC
Developer Firaxis teases that it will be adding more characters to its upcoming tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Now the studio has confirmed that Venom, Morbius and Storm will be joining the game in paid post-launch DLC. The first DLC will be released in early 2023 according to the latest character reveal trailer. The new trailer shows Deadpool breaking the good news that he and the other three heroes will be appearing in the season pass.
Midnight Suns will be released this December with twelve playable characters. The tactical RPG developed by XCOM studio Firaxis is based on the Marvel universe. Players will be able to use characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Magik and others with card attacks.
According to the official website, there are four post-launch DLCs for the game planned that are included in the legendary edition as well as available separately with the season pass. The downloadable content in the season pass will contain character skins, characters, new missions and more. The Season Pass will consist of four DLCs listed below:
New hero: Deadpool
A thunderous mercenary with a heart of gold, Deadpool has a penchant for gory violence and light-hearted, wisdom-shattering fourth-wall wit.
New hero: Venom
Spider-Man’s nemesis and main boss of the game, Venom becomes a playable hero in DLC 2, armed with all the same symbiote attacks that once threatened the lives of the Midnight Suns.
New hero: Morbius
One of the original Midnight Sons comics, Morbius is an accomplished biochemist who, in an attempt to cure his own rare blood disease, is turned into a living vampire.
New Hero: Storm
A powerful member of the X-Men, Storm has the mutant ability to create and manipulate wind, lightning, rain, and other types of weather at her will.
In addition to these heroes and their corresponding new abilities, each of the four DLC packs included in the Season Pass will introduce new story missions, a new upgrade for the Abbey, and a selection of new skins and outfits.
The Season Pass also includes the Legendary Premium Pack which contains the following 23 premium skins at launch.
We previously had a trailer that delved into the Hunter playable character, a fully customizable hero that players will be able to create. Previous deep dives have also covered Spiderman using Spiderman’s quick abilities and sense. As well as Magik The Master Of Teleportation.
