As the release date of God of War Ragnarok draws closer and closer, fans are discovering that they will be able to change the look of their armor however they want.
God of War Ragnarok confirms that the game will have a transmog system for his armor. While the main aspect of armor is protection, many players don’t mind sacrificing some of their gear’s stats to make it look better. However, some games allow players to have the best of both worlds, allowing them to wear whatever armor gives them the best chance of survival while making it look like a completely different set. Previously, these transmog systems were featured in online titles such as World of Warcraft and Destiny 2.
Transmog features have also been offered in single-player games, allowing one player to look their best while roaming massive open worlds. Horizon Forbidden West added a transmog system in a post-launch update, and while these mechanics aren’t necessarily expected for all upcoming games, they can add that extra quality of life for multiplayer. One title that has shown a lot of quality-of-life features in its recent trailers is God of War Ragnarok with accessibility systems and the upcoming photo feature.
Now, God of War Ragnarok again shows off a new feature coming to the game informing fans that they will be able to transplant their armor. In a Q&A on the official Sony Santa Monica Discord, God of War Ragnarok’s Head of Combat Design, Mihir Sheith, stated that the ability to transform armor is in the game. However, Sheith did not state how a player could use this feature, perhaps suggesting that it will not be a central mechanic.
God of War Ragnarok’s The release date is fast approaching, and as fans count down the days, they’ll probably be happy to see that they won’t have to give Kratos a less stylish look to give him the best stats in battle. The ability to change Kratos’ appearance without sacrificing the effectiveness of his equipment will likely be used a lot when God of War Ragnarok’s The photo mode is rolling out post launch as it means social media will be flooded with tons of God of War variations.
While there are many exciting details coming out God of War Ragnarok online in the days leading up to its release, some fans are staying away from the conversation surrounding the game until they get their hands on it. This is because its early releases God of War Ragnarok have led to some major spoilers that have already started circulating online, a problem that also reared its head ahead of the release of other major titles such as A Plague Tale: Requiem.
God of War: Ragnarok is scheduled for release on November 9, 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
