Techland has announced that a new episode of the Dying Light 2 web series, Dying 2 Know, will reveal more details about the upcoming Bloody Ties DLC. The launch trailer for this expansion will be shown during the live stream on November 6, which includes a first look at the new Carnage Hall gladiator arena, where players will fight for fame and glory.
Concept artist Anna Krzemien, narrative director Piotr Szymanek, and franchise director Tymon Smektala will all join the episode as they reveal more details about the DLC and what else Dying Light 2 fans can expect from the game. If you’re interested in watching, you can tune in at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET on the official Techland Twitch channel.
Bloody Ties was first announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live and it’s been a long time coming. Originally scheduled for release at the beginning of the year, it was delayed to September so that Techland could add more features, such as a New Game Plus and an FOV slider for the console versions of Dying Light 2.
DLC delayed again to October, and then once again on November 10 so that any lingering bugs and issues can be fixed before release.
Like the first game, the sequel is being built for longevity, with seasonal events and story DLC enriching the experience for the next five years, according to the developer. Bloody Ties will feature multiple challenges, missions, weapon types and more when it launches, and arrives in the wake of Dying Light 2’s first Halloween event, which turned zombies into pumpkin-headed monsters.
