Apex Legends Character Guides: Tips and Strategies for Every Legend

Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale that emphasizes teamwork above all else, pitting various teams of two or three against each other to see who will be the last team standing. With the focus of the game’s characters, each Legend you can choose from offers their team a number of unique abilities that can help them become the victors.

Each Legend serves a specific role that helps themselves or their teammates, so you’ll want to learn how to best play them with their strengths. [Bangalore Guide]

Bangalore is your typical trooper with a few tricks up her sleeve. Her passive ability is an increased sprint speed under fire, while her tactical ability fires canisters of smoke that can hinder pursuing enemies. But if her smoke bombs can’t stop a surprise enemy attack, her ultimate ability is an artillery barrage that can easily repel the attack.

[Bloodhound Guide]

Bloodhound is a deadly tracker. Their passive ability allows you to see where enemy players have been, while their tactical ability pings the area to reveal traces left behind by enemies. Their ultimate ability boosts their movement speed and gives them advanced environmental awareness so they can end their opponents’ lives quickly.

[Caustic Guide]

Caustic is a defensive character who can help teammates with handy area-of-effect weapons. His tactical ability allows you to deploy deadly gas traps that explode at close range or when shot. All the while, his passive allows you to see enemies through the gas. And if all that gas talk wasn’t enough, his Ultimate basically covers a large area with deadlier poison.

[Gibraltar Guide]

Gibraltar is a tough guy with plenty of utility. His passive ability is a riot shield that can deflect enemy fire and his Tactical ability is a dome shield that can be deployed to protect his team from enemy fire. And when the going gets tough, his ultimate ability can unleash a concentrated mortar strike at a designated location.

[Lifeline Guide]

Lifeline is your original doctor. Her Passive allows her drone to resurrect teammates while continuing the fight, while her Tactical ability is a drone that automatically heals nearby allies. If these abilities aren’t enough to get her team in good shape, Lifeline has an Ultimate ability that deploys in a pod filled with premium gear.

[Mirage Guide]

Mirage is the ultimate cheater. His tactical ability allows you to send out a holographic decoy, while his passive ability makes him invisible when he falls. If these decoys weren’t enough to fool the opposing team, Mirage’s Ultimate deploys a group of them to further confuse enemies.

[Pathfinder Guide]

Pathfinder is all about reconnaissance and repositioning. This upbeat robot’s passive ability reveals the location of the next ring, and its Tactical is a zipline gun that can be handy for reaching hard-to-reach places. He can also help allies with his Ultimate ability, which deploys a zipline available to all squadmates.

[Wraith Guide]

The Wraith is an agile offensive fighter. Her passive ability tells her when enemies are targeting her, while her tactical ability makes her nearly invisible and invincible for a short duration for strategic repositioning. Finally, Wraith’s Ultimate ability allows her to create a portal that can be used by the entire team to enter or exit a bad situation.
